King Country Hospital Center
Hospital Biography
King County Hospital Center traces its origins back to the early 19th century, born out of a critical need to care for the underprivileged in Brooklyn. Established in 1830 as the Brooklyn County Almshouse, our hospital was founded under a New York State law requiring counties, including Kings County (now Brooklyn), to procure land for the purpose of housing the poor. Our legacy of compassion and dedication continues to drive our mission to provide exceptional healthcare to all members of our community.
