When to see a doctor
See a doctor if fatigue is severe, persistent (weeks or months), or accompanied by unexplained weight loss, fever, or other concerning symptoms.
What you should know
A GP can screen for common causes (anemia, thyroid, sleep apnea).
An endocrinologist may be consulted for hormone-related fatigue.
Treatment depends on the underlying cause.
